php5-gdcm software package provides Grassroots DICOM PHP5 bindings, you can install in your Ubuntu 14.04 LTS (Trusty Tahr) by running the commands given below on the terminal,
$ sudo apt-get update $ sudo apt-get install php5-gdcm
php5-gdcm is installed in your system.
Make ensure the php5-gdcm package were installed using the commands given below,
$ sudo dpkg-query -l | grep php5-gdcm *
You will get with php5-gdcm package name, version, architecture and description in a table
